INTRODUCTION ↓

My name is Laszlo,
Friends call me Jungle Laz.

I'm an audiovisual artist that makes music, films, virtual worlds, unique products and digital experiences.

Fans describe me as the offspring that would happen if Eminem, Burna Boy and Kanye West had a 3-way that produced a spiritually enlightened, tech-savvy baby.

(it's an outrageous - but not inaccurate - description)

I've spent 14+ years working across sound, design, technology, branding and creative direction for some of the best brands on our planet while living across 5 different jungles as a digital nomad.

Along the way, I realised that the things I most wanted to create didn't appear in a client brief.

So I pulled up my own briefs,
and started making them myself.

JUNGLE BOY (+ OTHER FILMS)

A visual and sonic exploration of identity, nature and consciousness - I recorded the song with a live band in the deep Costa Rican jungle, and filmed the music video over the course of a year while living there.

The first web3 music platform that pays both upcoming artists and their fans in crypto. I developed this platform as a one-man team; acting as product owner, system architect, designer and developer.

Down The Rabbit Hole

I view Inspiration as the same source energy that creates all things, being channeled through the individual artist.

For our creative portal to continuously expand, I believe it's vital to honour Inspiration as a gift from Source and earn its trust - by crystalizing it into reality, giving it wings to fly, and releasing it for the right people to discover.

Throughout this process, I actively embrace flow state. I achieve this primarily through meditation & binaural beats. The soundtrack you're hearing right now, for example, is tuned to 432hz: a nature-based sound frequency which accommodates flow state.

An Idea

Inspiration is given;
An idea enters my auric field.

An Obsession

The idea permeates throughout my auric field until it becomes all-encompassing.

A Channeling

Forced to either express the idea or implode, I enter flow state and create.

A World

Channeled via my inner world, the initial idea has now become a world of its own.

Laszlo Van Leeuwen is a multidisciplinary artist working across music, film, design and technology.

Known to his 55K+ social media followers as ‘Jungle Laz’ due to having spent years living off-grid in deep jungles, Laszlo produces music and visual art at the intersection of hip hop, spirituality, nature and self-discovery.

Born in Utrecht, The Netherlands, to an anthropologist father and a social worker mother, Laszlo left the country just nine days after birth, growing up across Africa and Asia and over time travelling to 20+ countries & 5 jungles.

The music bug bit at 13 in Ghana, where he won rap battles against senior students, performed at shows and recorded his first mixtapes in studios around Accra - writing, producing and designing the visuals himself.

A few years later, he moved to South Africa, where he studied music at SAE Institute. Since then, he has created over 300 original songs, collaborated with artists from around the world, appeared on radio, TV and print media, and performed for crowds from 35 to 3,500 people.

In 2026 alone, he's released 64 original songs and 7 music videos, along with launching a web3 music platform to elevate fellow unsigned artists. And there's more to come.
